We are two graduates from the Agama yoga centre in Middle park. We studied for two years with Barbara Brian, student of Sir Desikachar who created the KYM in Chennai, in honour of his father Tirumalay Krishnamacharya. In a time when Yoga was seen as outdated and frowned upon, he dedicated his life to modernise Raja Yoga. His pupils made Yoga so famous it is now found all over the globe
Some people come to Yoga for flexibility.
Some come to Yoga to help heal a body part, help in recovery and rehabilitation.
As we studied Yoga based upon the eight limbs from Patanjali's Yoga sutra's,
we learned a timeless wisdom tradition. We learned chanting in Sanskrit, from Fiona, as taught to her by her teacher in Chennai.

My classes focus on Personal growth. Muscular or flexibility or kindness growth! On resilience, on connection and on community. On meeting who ever comes to class, where they are in their life, and growing from there!
My friend Larissa and I enjoy teaching together on Fridays.
